In April 2013, I had the absolute pleasure to fly to Denver to help my friend, Caleb Davis. Caleb was a friend of mine when he was a pastor at a church here in Seattle. I've learned a lot about Jesus through this man.
Caleb and his wife, Sara, moved to Denver a little less than a year ago. God put it on their hearts to plant a church in this very influential city, and so here they are, pursuing their mission. Sometime in March, Caleb called and asked if I would be interested in flying to Denver to share his vision. He wanted to collaborate with me to produce a video about the church plant in downtown Denver.
We had only four days to shoot and edit, with a little time for planning, but the moment I landed I knew I was in for a treat. The city is tucked in between the Colorado Rockies and endless flat lands. Although Denver has only a handful of rainy days per year, it rained the entire first day of shooting. I obviously brought the Northwest with me.
It’s absolutely amazing to hear what Jesus has been doing in this city. Caleb and Sara have witnessed to the city as missionaries for His glory in Denver, they've gained the support of a local church, and they have a strong and growing core group. I am absolutely amazed by God’s grace in Denver. I'm excited to see what he does with His church.
Be praying for Denver. Pray that people will meet Jesus, that the church in Denver will love the people of Denver as themselves. Pray that many will be made disciples, that many will love Jesus.
