These Faces Project

These Faces is a continuing project of Artist Reformation started by Will Foster. The goal is to use video portraits to explore culture through people.  In each of these portraits people are answering the same three questions: who are you, where are you coming from, and where are you going?  It is such a beautiful thing to get these tiny glimpses into people’s lives and their stories; hearing where they place their identity, where they’ve come from, and where they hope to be going in life. More than just a fun way to get to know people in our community and share a snapshot of who they are to the world, These Faces is a profound project, studying culture by hearing from the people who actually live in it.

Up until recently we only had seven portraits, but on July 18th we collected 38 new portraits! It was quite the adventure. We spent three hours in South Lake Union and three hours on Capitol Hill meeting random people and filming a piece of their story.

We are still in the process of editing videos, uploading them to YouTube, and then uploading them to, but we expect to be done soon. Watch on our social media for more updates!
